PHILOMATH n The Philomath High girls soccer team pulled away for a 6-0 Special District 4 win over Horizon Christian on Monday.
The Warriors (6-0-2, 3-0) scored four goals in the second half as their midfielders kept the pressure on the Horizon Christian goal.
PHS coach John Williams said the Hawks have a good goalkeeper, who made 16 saves on 22 PHS shots, but the Warriors knocked them in when needed.
"Our midfielders created those opportunities with some great balls in," Williams said.
