Kipp Godfrey struck out seven as Corvallis High used timely hits and five Mt. View errors on Friday to claim an 11-4 victory in a nonconference baseball game at Taylor Field.
The Spartans (5-1) also benefitted from six walks and four hit batters.
CHS broke open a close game in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on two walks, four hit batters and two hits. The big blow was Steven Ravlin's two-run double that capped the inning and gave the Spartans a 9-3 lead.
"The hits that we had were were relatively productive in one way or another," CHS coach Eric Dazey said.
The Spartans had just four hits, but five different players accounted for seven RBIs.
Corvallis overcame four errors of its own with good pitching and by making timely plays in the field.
Godfrey's performance included a walk and a hit batter, but it was the third straight game the Spartans have received a quality performance on the mound. They have struck out 34 opponents - including a 15-strikeout performance by Aaron Corwin on Wednesday - over that stretch.
The Spartans open Mid-Willamette Conference play on Tuesday at West Albany.

South Eugene 9-6, Crescent Valley 5-2
EUGENE - Crescent Valley hit the ball hard but too often to the fielder in losses to South Eugene at Civic Stadium.
When the Raiders (0-4) did manage to get hits through, they often went for doubles.
"We hit one ball that went 400 feet and the guy caught it at the fence," CV coach Jim Owre said. "I think we counted a total in the two games of seven line outs.
"We just hit into bad luck."
