Post office team wins softball title

After finishing second the past four years, the Corvallis Post Office won the Labor Day Postal Invitational softball tournament this past weekend.

The tournament was held at Wilsonville Memorial Park with seven other cities represented.

Corvallis fielded a team of all local players and had to come up from the loser's bracket after a 17-13 loss to Cornelius.

The team then won five straight games to claim its first championship in the event.
