Letter: Corvallis may have a dog park, but it isn't a dog-friendly town (Nov. 4)

Thank you for the story about the new dog park. (Monday, A1, "One for the dogs").

Mayor CharlesTomlinson indicated that Corvallis loves "beavers and dogs." I just wanted to clarify that this town does not love dogs. I have been looking for a place to live for the past month, and no one in this town rents to people who have dogs.

The apartment complexes that happen to be dog-friendly are outrageously expensive. It is ridiculous. Young and drunk college kids do more damage to property than an innocent dog. I just hope I can find a place before my 30-day-notice is up, or I'll be "Homeless in Corvallis."

Oh, the humanity!
