Regarding displays of America's military might at football games or elsewhere:
We need to keep in mind our mixed military history - from sending troops into Native American villages under the cover of darkness to slaughter innocent babies, children, mothers and fathers (by the millions), often hacking them to death with swords - to fighting those who would do the same to us.
Military might is a necessity on this dangerous planet to protect us from imminent threat.
Nationalistic fervor to use military might unnecessarily is also a threat to ourselves and the rest of the world. Let us keep our military strength while building on our reputation as enlightened world leaders.
