Wednesday, Oct. 28
UNFAIR TRADE: 3:50 p.m., 800 block Northwest 10th Street. A 29-year-old man reported that his bike had been stolen from outside his house. The bike had been locked to the downspout, which was pulled loose. A white rusty kid's bike was left where the stolen bike had been.
Thursday, Oct. 29
ITEMS FOUND: 10:47 a.m., BMX track, 251 S.E. Chapman Place. Parks and Recreation workers were clearing a transient camp when they found numerous items they thought might be stolen, including a digital camcorder, two-way radios, cell phones, watches and credit cards. CDs belonging to Corvallis-Benton County Library also were found and returned to the library.
GOOD SAMARITAN: 11:16 a.m., 1700 block Northwest Division. A man found and turned in a wallet that had $107 in it.
Sunday, Nov. 1
STOLEN VEHICLE: 2:04 p.m., 400 block Northwest 16th Street. A 1987 white Toyota Camry, Oregon license 198BXW, was reported stolen. The keys had been left in the ignition.

Sunday, Oct. 25
WRONG-WAY DUII: 8 p.m., Southwest Philomath Boulevard and Southwest 53rd Street. Dispatch reported a caller had seen a truck driving in the oncoming lane of traffic. A deputy found and stopped the truck. The driver, Joseph Timothy Gilpatrick, 31, of Lebanon, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. His blood-alcohol content was .01 percent.
Thursday, Oct. 29
INJURY ACCIDENT: 5:55 a.m., Highway 223 and Maxfield Creek Road. Bruce DeMaris, 24, of Philomath, was driving a Ford F 150 on Highway 223 when the windshield started to fog up. DeMaris turned on the heat to clear the window, but it immediately fogged up completely. The truck went off the road and hit a tree. Rear passenger Dustin Prindle, 24, of Eddyville, was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. He had been wearing a seat belt.
Friday, Oct. 30
LOUD NOISES: 6:11 p.m., 3200 block Northwest Glenridge Drive. Deputies responding to a noise complaint of loud explosions found the sounds were coming from a man's rodent extermination device.
Saturday, Oct. 31
ASSAULT: 4:44 a.m., 200 block South 10th Street, Monroe. Gary Ristau, 40, was arrested on a charge of fourth-degree assault after he allegedly struck a 17-year-old boy in the face with his fist and forearm.
GUNS STOLEN: 9:22 a.m., 23000 block Woods Creek Road, Philomath. A man reported two handguns had been stolen from his home.
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: 6:40 p.m., 22000 block Harris Road, Blodgett. Deputies were dispatched for shots fired and a vehicle driving slowly in front of the residence. Deputies were unable to find a vehicle in the area.
Sunday, Nov. 1
WHOOPS: 12:47 a.m., Northwest Sixth Street and Northwest Tyler Avenue. Deputies saw a Chevrolet Cavalier high centered on the railroad tracks. The driver, a 20-year-old Hillsboro woman, said she was not familiar with Corvallis and drove over the curb and onto the railroad tracks. Union Pacific was advised to stop trains in the area. The vehicle was towed.
DUII: 1:28 a.m., Northwest Fifth Street and Northwest Monroe Avenue. Joshua Andrew Zelanka, 27, of Corvallis, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.
ASSAULT: 5:41 a.m. 200 block Northwest 53rd Street. A 34-year-old woman said a man punched her rearview mirror and windshield, breaking them, and hit her several times in the chest. Philip William Hopkins, 41, of Spokane, Wash., was arrested on charges of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and second-degree criminal mischief.
BURNING: 5:42 p.m., Northwest Abraham Lane and Northwest Independence Highway, Albany. Deputies responded to a possible structure fire, which turned out to be a controlled brush fire. Albany Fire Department handled the incident.
