A limited number of vaccinations against the H1N1 flu virus will be offered by the Benton County Health Department and the Corvallis School District from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday - or until the vaccine runs out.
The clinic will be in the gymnasium of Lincoln K-8 School, 110 S.E. Alexander Ave.
H1N1 vaccines will be provided for those most at risk from H1N1: pregnant women, people who are caring for infants younger than 6 months of age, children ages 6 months to 24 years, health care providers and emergency service providers and people ages 24 to 60 years who have chronic health conditions that put them at risk for flu complications.
The vaccines will include both the flu mist nasal spray and injectable vaccines. These vaccines are available at no charge.
For more information about the flu mist vaccine online, see www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/vis/downloads/vis-laiv-h1n1 .pdf. For more about the injectable vaccine, see www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/vis/downloads/vis-inact-h1n1 .pdf
Persons already sick with H1N1 or any other virus cannot be vaccinated.
