Two of Corvallis’ elected leaders in the Legislature will discuss tax measures 66 and 67 during a public forum Tuesday, Jan. 5, at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, 645 N.W. Monroe Ave.
Voters will decide Jan. 26. whether they want to uphold the Legislature’s $733 million tax package, which proposes increasing the corporate income tax and taxes on wealthier individuals. A “yes” vote upholds the tax changes; a “no” vote rejects them.
Sen. Frank Morse, R-Albany and Rep. Sara Gelser, D-Corvallis, will discuss the measures and take questions, starting at 7 p.m.
