MONROE - Author Bob Welch is scheduled to visit the Monroe Community Library from 6:45 to 8 p.m. tonight. The library's address is 668 Commercial St.

Welch will speak about his latest book, "My Oregon II," answer questions, and sign copies of his books.

Welch is donating 50 percent of the proceeds to the South Benton Library Project, a group that's raising money to build a new library and community center in Monroe.
