Some Corvallis residents woke up to a nightmare on Halloween.
Numerous vehicles parked on Northwest 15th Street were keyed late Friday or in the early hours of Saturday, causing an untold amount of damage.
Officer Mike Hinckley with the Corvallis Police Department said as of Sunday afternoon, 13 vehicles had been reported damaged.
The vehicles vandalized all were parked on 15th Street. Incidents were reported from Northwest Fillmore Avenue to Northwest Polk Avenue, but one resident saw vehicles farther south down 15th Street with telltale long scratches on them.
"It's really kind of disturbing from a societal point of view," said Giovanna Rosenlicht, who had two cars damaged. "It's just senseless."
Trash cans in the neighborhood also were knocked over and garbage was strewn about.
