Nothing says "happy holidays" like a video Christmas card - especially to lonely service members spending the season far from home.

Silverman Studios is offering mid-valley residents with friends or family deployed in the military the chance to make a short video greeting to be posted on the YouTube video Web site in time for the holidays.

Studio owner Jeff Silverman will set up his camera from noon to 3 p.m., Dec. 5, in the banquet room at Iovino's Ristorante, 136 S.W. Washington Ave.

"This is a free event for anyone who has military family or friends serving away from home this Christmas," Silverman said in a news release. "Tell them how much you appreciate them, recite a favorite poem, show off the new baby or sing a Christmas carol."
