CORVALLIS - RiverRocks will play a night of original music from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at Troubadour Music Center, 521 S.W. Second St.
The band is volunteering its music to help the new Troubadour get its economic feet on the ground. It's a lovely big space, has excellent acoustics, no restaurant noise, can hold 150 people, and is surrounded by beautiful instruments. A $5 donation is requested for the show.
RiverRocks grew out of the duo performances of two songwriters, Laurie Childers and Mina Carson. Bill Veley is rock-steady on bass, and Michael Molk takes it higher with oboe and saxophone. The band's new percussionist/vocalist is Shelley Willis.
Information: 757-9025 or 757-9025.
