LAS VEGAS — The Oregon State softball team defeated Wright State of Ohio 9-2 and CSU Northridge 6-1 on Saturday on the final day of the UNLV Louisville Slugger Desert Classic.

Against Wright State, Mia Longfellow had three hits and an RBI, Alana Ford hit a three-run homer to highlight a seven-run second inning for the Beavers (6-2). Starting pitcher Brianne McGowan pitched five innings and had two hits in earning her fourth victory of the season.

Cambria Miranda had a grand slam to highlight a five-run second inning against the Matadors. Ta’Tyana McElroy pitched a complete game eight-hitter and struck out 10 for the victory.
