OSU softball picked to finish fourth in Pac-10

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — The Oregon State softball team was picked to finish in fourth place in the Pacific-10 Conference for the 2007 season in the coaches preseason poll.

The Beavers received 32 points; defending national champion Arizona was picked to finish first with 47 points.

The 2007 season starts on Feb. 8 at San Diego State.

The poll, with first-place votes in parenthesis, followed by total points:

1. Arizona (5), 47. 2. UCLA (3), 45. 3. Arizona State, 35. 4. Oregon State, 32. 5. Stanford, 21. 6. California, 18. 6. Washington, 18. 8. Oregon, 8
